Meet the Therapist

Lauren A. Fischman is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and has been practicing for almost nine years. She graduated in 1999 from The Swedish Institute: College of Health Sciences in New York City, NY with an associate degree in Occupational Studies in Massage. Lauren continued her education specializing in women’s issues, particularly prenatal and infant massage. She was certified in prenatal massage in June of 1999 through MotherMassage®. She became a certified infant massage instructor with Baby’s First Massage in Utica in December 2001 as well as becoming a certified Massage Birth Assistant/Doula through B.A.B.Y., Inc. in Nashville, TN. In October 2002 she decided to further her skills with a High Risk Pregnancy Massage course from the Advanced Studies Curriculum at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Her modalities of treatment include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Pre- and Post-natal Massage and Infant Massage.
